During this three-week intensive course you will be immersed in a creative pressure cooker. A collaboration between artists and IT specialists leads to interactive installations in a public setting.
The Netherlands has a long and rich history and tradition in arts, design and artistic and technological innovation. Famous Dutch modern fine artists are Piet Mondriaan and Gerrit Rietveld (De Stijl), Karel Appel and Constant (COBRA) and architect Berlage (Amsterdamse School). Also modern artists who use technological innovations such as Peter Struyken, Mischa Klein, Daan Roosegaarde, Herm Maat and Theo Jansen are world renowned.

The first week contains an intensive introduction in Dutch art and design and the specifics of the state of interactive art in the Netherlands in the last thirty years. The second week will be about conceptualising, brainstorming, sketching, and seminars. You will be developing the idea of the interactive artwork to be presented in the final public exhibition. During the last week you will be mainly working on location, finishing and fine-tuning the artwork and the opening of the exhibition.
